LONG BRANCH, Jan. 11- Parents can see find out if they are smarter than fifth graders and see how Seashore puts students ahead of the game at the school’s Full-Day Kindergarten through Eighth Grade Preview January 26.
The Preview is being held to give prospective families a chance to try the school and discover why children perform a grade above their peers, score in the top percentile in standardized exams and gain acceptance in the high schools of their choice.
At the end of the event, which includes computer, science lab, physical education, Spanish and swim classes, parents can take the “Are You Smarter Than Our 5th Graders?” Challenge, which will be similar to Fox’s popular television show.
In addition to saving $500 when they enroll at the event, those who stump Seashore students will save an extra $100.
The Seashore School, which opened in 1974, is designed for families who want a smaller class size and more progressive curriculum than their town offers, at an affordable tuition. Starting with preschool and going through eighth grade, the curriculum includes foreign language, computers, science, music, art, yoga, drama, physical education and year round swimming lessons. The approach to education is so successful that students perform a grade above their peers, score in the top percentile in standardized exams, are recognized nationally for academic achievement and gain acceptance into the high schools of their choice.
