Seashore Day Camp Introduces New Theater Camp
To Give Children Their Start “On Broadway”

This summer, Seashore will give children interested in performing arts a chance to become stars in a specialty camp called “On Broadway” in our new theater, which happens to be on Broadway in Long Branch.

Instead of typical camp activities, boys and girls will have the option of taking acting, singing, dance, set design, costuming, make up and directing lessons and will cool off each day with instructional swim (swimming will always be a mandatory part of the day for all Seashore campers).

Each week will be spent rehearsing for a full-scale production, which will be performed for the entire camp at the end of the season.

On Wednesdays, participants will not only learn more about acting by going to Broadway plays like Mary Poppins, Tarzan, A Chorus Line and Hairspray. They will take workshops in New York rehearsal studios with stars in the shows they see.

The camp will be headed by staff members Renee Harrison, John Gordon and Kristin Howe, who will also bring in specialty voice, dance and drama coaches.

Spaces in this camp are selling out quickly.
