Our Full Day Kindergarten
Takes Students A
Whole Lot Further
At Seashore, we think today’s kindergartners are ready for more – more than a half-day program and more than just the basics. So we put together a progressive, affordable full-day program loaded with exciting features most schools do not offer at this level.
The Reading Program Is Exceptionally Strong ...
By Mid-Year Most Students
Can Read On Their Own
While most kindergartens focus on letter/sound recognition, we go further. Children learn to blend words and read sentences and stories. By January, most students are reading on their own and by the end of the year, can recognize nearly 1,000 words.
One Of The Most Exciting Parts
Of The Program Is Science
Children get a chance to see the lessons they are studying in their classrooms come to life by doing hands-on experiments in our science lab – which has a video microscope, telescope, animal habitat, greenhouse, skeleton, galaxy of planets and the latest technology.
Kindergartners Also Take
Computers, Foreign Language
And Swimming
Our curriculum includes math, social studies, computers, art, music and physical education – plus extras like foreign language, yoga and year-round swimming lessons. We even have an interactive student web site that encourages children to use the skills they are taught in the classroom and become comfortable using technology in a fun way.
Classes Are Half The Size Of Public School
To accommodate the number of children, who enroll in this program, we offer three sections of full-day kindergarten. Each class is limited to 16 students, so we can provide personal attention. If a child has difficulty with a subject, the problem is quickly resolved so frustration does not occur. If he or she is ready for more, the program is adapted to provide the necessary challenges.
The Program Is So Popular,
All Three Sections Fill Up Early Each Year
Whether children are reading aloud for the first time, singing songs like “The Three Pigs” in Spanish, completing a computer project, or perfecting their freestyle stroke, they are enthusiastic about school, eager to learn, and a step ahead of the game when they enter the first grade. The program has earned such a good reputation with families in the area, all three classes sell out quickly.
