Seashore Theater Camp “On Broadway”

Seashore Theater Camp gives children their start “On Broadway,” literally. Aspiring actors spend the summer in our Theater “On Broadway” — 410 Broadway in Long Branch, that is. Boys and girls learn acting, singing and dance skills needed to put on large-scale productions. But that’s not all. They participate in daily instructional swim, recreational activities and special events.

Campers Shine In Professionally Produced Musicals
After rehearsing daily, the curtain goes up on dazzling Broadway quality musicals. In just seven weeks, shows raise the barre of what can be expected from seven to 13 year olds. There are high energy, professionally choreographed dance numbers. Special effects that wow audiences. Authentic costumes. And, above all, acting that leaves the audience wanting more.

High Flying Program
No expense is spared to prepare children for their roles. In Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and Mary Poppins, young actors were actually taught to fly from Flying By Foy. (The same international organization that provides flying effects for Broadway shows, theme parks, movies and television worldwide.)

Participants Go To Tony Winners & Take Workshops With Stars
Another thing that sets Seashore Theater Camp “On Broadway” apart is the Broadway Show/Workshop Series. Campers see three Tony winning or nominated musicals each year. In addition, they hone skills by taking workshops with actors in these shows at NYC rehearsal studios. Best of all, they get to work with Tony nominated stars like Chad Kimball and Kerry Butler.

This Summer, Campers Will See Three Tony Nods
To celebrate its 14th anniversary, Seashore Theater Camp will see the following shows. Diana The Musical, written by Tony Winners Joe DiPietro David Bryan of Bon Jovi. Sing Street written by Tony Winner John Carney. And popular Mrs. Doubtfire.

Campers Earn Leads In High School Shows & Win Basie Awards
Founded by Director/Producer Renee Harrison Pincus, Seashore Theater Camp is the place aspiring actors want to be. Working with Director Marie Malara, she teaches stage presence, character development and technical skills that bring down the house.” As a result of their training, participants go on to be cast as leads in high school shows. Some have even won Basie Awards.

Conveniences For Parents Like FREE Door-To-Door Transportation
What’s more, Seashore Theater Camp comes with door-to-door transportation at no extra charge. There is free childcare from 7:30-9a.m. for those who work early. In addition, extended care is available until 6p.m. for a nominal fee.
